About the Role

As a Fiscal/Administrative Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the maintenance of accounts, preparation of financial statements and budget requests, reviewing and authorizing expenditures, and overseeing staff work. You will also conduct performance evaluations, establish procedures, and act as a liaison with other units and agencies. The role requires a strong proficiency in Excel, payroll preparation, and familiarity with financial systems like STARS and CORE-CT.

About You

Required:

Eight (8) years of experience in fiscal/administrative functions, including accounting, payroll, or purchasing.
Two (2) years of experience at the professional working level of Fiscal/Administrative Officer, Accountant, or Payroll Officer 2.

Preferred:

Strong proficiency in Excel for complex data manipulation.
Experience in payroll preparation and compliance.
Familiarity with the Statewide Analytical Reporting System (STARS) and CORE-CT.
3-5 years of budgetary experience.
Proven experience in contract administration.
Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable procedures.
Experience with State procurement procedures.
Experience managing and developing staff.
