About the Role
As a Fleet Mechanic, you will perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks and trailers. You will be responsible for diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, and electrical troubleshooting. The position requires tracking maintenance work through software, ensuring safety protocols, and maintaining effective communication with staff and management.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Mechanical knowledge of tools and machines, including their uses, repair, and maintenance
- Must pass pre-employment criteria
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Must be able to read and comprehend service and repair manuals
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred:
- Valid Class A CDL
- 1-5 years’ related experience
- Basic Welding Experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and occasionally up to 100 lbs
