Summary
Airbus Aircraft is seeking an X-Plant Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Mobile, AL. The role involves managing non-conformities, design deviations, and supporting production on the Final Assembly Line (FAL).
About the Role
As an X-Plant Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring all non-conformities, design deviations, OSW, and late changes to support production. You will respond to technical questions, create work orders based on non-conformities, and maintain effective communication with European Plants, on-site Production teams, Quality, Suppliers, Design Engineers, and Aircraft Managers. You will also serve as the FAL focal point regarding Plant activities and their suppliers, provide technical support to X-Plant production, and ensure non-compliance management according to Airbus and Authority rules.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings and technical standards.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and tools used in manufacturing engineering.
- Ability to work in a team environment, cross-functional team environment, as well as independently and with customers and channels.
- Critical thinking with the ability to problem solve.
Preferred:
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably with an aviation company.
- Experience with 3D modeling software (Catia, SolidWorks, Etc.).
- Proficiency in other languages is recommended but not essential.
- Knowledge of Airbus processes and methods.
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment.
