About the Role
As a Food Service Assistant, you will work under the direction of the Food Service Director and Shift Supervisor. Your responsibilities will include preparing and cooking meats, vegetables, soups, gravies, and baked goods, as well as cleaning equipment and maintaining sanitary conditions in work and storage areas. You will also serve patrons at food counters and ensure compliance with food service safety and sanitation procedures.
About You
Required:
- One year of experience serving, preparing, and/or cooking meats, vegetables, soups, gravies, and other items.
- Knowledge of basic food service safety and sanitation procedures.
Preferred:
- Skill in operating and maintaining food preparation equipment.
- Ability to safely operate commercial kitchen equipment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to prioritize and complete work.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
Benefits
- $15.00 per hour starting salary, calculated based on experience.
- Part-time hours: 25 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
