About the Role
As a Food Service Worker, you will assist with food preparation, serve food according to USDA guidelines, and ensure safe food handling techniques are maintained. You will fill in at various school locations during staff vacancies and perform cleaning and sanitizing duties in the kitchen and dining areas.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D Certificate preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to various school kitchens.
- Ability to accept instruction and work in a team environment.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, reach, stoop, squat, kneel, lift, and carry between 10-50 pounds.
Preferred:
- Experience working with students and/or volunteers in diverse communities.
- Interest and familiarity with issues related to local food and food access.
- Skill in developing positive interpersonal relationships.
Benefits
