About the Role
As a Forest Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for implementing a nature-based curriculum, ensuring the safety and development of children, and fostering a love for the outdoors through unstructured play and intentional learning. You will collaborate with co-teachers and families, maintain a safe learning environment, and document children's progress through observation and assessment.
About You
Required:
- Experience in early childhood education and/or outdoor/nature education programs.
- Current MSDE-required credential to teach in a licensed childcare setting.
- Current Emergency First Aid and Child CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred:
- Experience working with children between the ages of 2-5 years old.
- Experience in play-based and/or emergent, nature-based, outdoor preschool settings.
- Familiarity with child-led approaches and holistic learning environments.
- Working knowledge of local flora, fauna, and seasonal changes.
