Miller CAT Corporation is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team in Dallas, TX. The role involves efficiently and safely moving materials throughout the warehouse and production areas to support continuous production flow.
About the Role
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, stack, and organize inventory. You will ensure that raw materials and finished goods are transported accurately, maintain safety protocols, and contribute to the overall productivity of the manufacturing facility.
About You
Required:
Valid forklift operator certification or license in accordance with OSHA standards.
Minimum of 2 years experience operating forklifts and related material handling equipment in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
Basic understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and inventory labels.
Physical ability to lift and move materials as required by the job (minimum of 50 lbs regularly).
Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (noise, dust, temperature variation as applicable).
Preferred:
Familiarity with general warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment. Sheet metal experience is a plus.
Basic mechanical skills for minor forklift maintenance and troubleshooting.
Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors.
