About the Role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be responsible for developing domain-specific tools for molecular modeling, deploying custom scientific workflows, building real-time data pipelines, and creating intuitive interfaces for scientists. You will work closely with both internal teams and external customers to address unique challenges and rapidly deliver impactful solutions.
About You
Required:
- Background in chemistry, materials science, or related scientific field.
- Outstanding communication skills to interface with executives and manufacturing teams.
- Experience with data engineering, ETL pipelines, and complex datasets.
- Strong full-stack development skills across backend, frontend, and data layers.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and comfort with ambiguous requirements.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites for deployments.
Preferred:
- Previous customer-facing or consulting experience.
- Depth in controls engineering and machine learning.
- Experience with scientific computing libraries (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, RDKit).
- Familiarity with ML/AI implementation and deployment.
- Familiarity with modern web technologies (TypeScript, React).
