About the Role
As a Foster Grandparent Coordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting, orienting, and training AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent volunteers. You will monitor and evaluate volunteer stations, ensure compliance with application and criminal history checks, and act as a liaison between volunteers and educational institutions. Additionally, you will assist with special projects, plan training sessions, and translate program materials as needed.
About You
Required:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- One to three years of related work experience.
- Bilingual skill in Spanish.
Preferred:
- An Associate’s Degree in Human Services or a related field.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledgeable in the needs of the senior citizen population.
- Ability to work sensitively and effectively with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
