Zywa is seeking a Founding Engineer - US to join their core team in New York, NY. The role involves building the next generation of autonomous AI systems and working closely with the founders to shape the company's culture and technical systems.
About the Role
As a Founding Engineer, you will architect and build real-time multimodal AI systems with ultra-low latency performance. You will collaborate with founders on product design and technical architecture, own end-to-end pipelines for speech and reasoning systems, and work with early enterprise customers to deploy Cozmo's AI employee stack. Additionally, you will hire and mentor new engineers as the team scales.
About You
Required:
- Deep experience in building and shipping real products in AI, distributed systems, or real-time voice/video tech.
- Fluency in Python or Rust and comfort with cloud-native (AWS/GCP), containerized, and pub/sub architectures.
Preferred:
- Experience working closely with LLMs or multimodal models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, etc.).
- Ability to thrive in zero-to-one environments with a bias to action and high ownership.
