About the Role
As a Founding Robotics Software Engineer, you will build the core infrastructure that powers perception, planning, and control in AI-driven robotic systems. You will design systems and interfaces between AI models, robotic hardware, and human operators, collaborating closely with machine learning and robotic engineers to ship production-ready systems. Additionally, you will help define and shape the engineering culture, roadmap, and processes.
About You
Required:
- 2+ years of professional robotics software engineering experience, or equivalent depth through exceptional projects/startups.
- Strong experience with Python and proven track record building production-grade systems and maintaining them at scale.
- Experience building and scaling real-time systems data pipelines or experience working and integrating AI/ML models.
- Experience with robotics frameworks (e.g., ROS/ROS2), distributed systems, and real-time control.
- Comfort working across system boundaries (e.g., ML, robotics, cloud, hardware).
- High agency and bias toward action — able to move quickly with clear code and ownership.
- Adaptable, execution-focused, and thrives in the fast pace and ambiguity of startup life.
