About the Role
As a Front Office Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for answering and screening calls, greeting and registering patients, and managing check-out functions. You will also handle filing and preparing charts, review encounter form data, collect co-payments, and schedule follow-up appointments, ensuring smooth day-end reconciliation duties.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous front office experience or background in general office work.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality/discretion.
- Must be patient, courteous, and tactful.
- Ability to communicate and relate well with office staff, ancillary departments, and the public.
- Ability to follow direction, accept orders, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Computer literate in use of word processing and email.
Preferred:
- 1-year experience in a medical/physician office setting.
- Experience in electronic medical records.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
