Summary
Workday is seeking a Functional Architect - Workday Payroll to join their Product & Compliance team dedicated to the Government Industry Vertical. This role involves architecting and leading the functional design of Workday Payroll solutions for Federal customers.
About the Role
As a Functional Architect, you will collaborate with Federal customers to understand their business requirements, focusing on OPM guidelines and Federal regulations. You will lead the end-to-end functional design, including migration strategies and system configuration, to modernize government systems and improve services for citizens.
About You
Required:
- 12+ years of proven expertise in system configuration and implementation.
- 8+ years of experience with Workday's core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and potentially Financials modules.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- US Citizenship and ability to acquire/maintain a security clearance.
Preferred:
- Experience working within U.S. Federal Government HCM regulations and OPM guidelines.
- Demonstrable ability to gather, document, and translate complex business needs into actionable Workday requirements.
- Ability to architect effective, scalable, and compliant Workday solutions.
- Significant experience in the practical configuration of various Workday modules.

- Competitive salary range of $184,800 - $277,200 USD, with additional locations offering $167,200 - $294,000 USD.
- Eligibility for the Workday Bonus Plan or role-specific commission/bonus.
