About the Role
As the Director of Major Gifts, you will work closely with the Vice President of Development and Stewardship and the CEO to develop and execute solicitation strategies for major donors. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of Development Officers, conducting cultivation and stewardship activities, and developing donor-centric proposals and reports. You will also engage in prospect research, maintain relationships with donors, and help plan the organization's fund development strategy.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- Five (5) years of experience in fund development, community relations, and/or sales/marketing
- Three (3) years in a management role
- Valid Texas Driver's License
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of fund development and fundraising in a non-profit social service-related setting
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, and Raiser’s Edge
