Summary
phData is seeking a Principal Analytics Consultant specializing in Power BI to join their remote team. The role focuses on helping customers gain value from their data through analytics enablement and data visualization.
About the Role
As a Principal Analytics Consultant, you will deliver project-based consulting engagements, manage client expectations, create reporting and data visualization solutions, and recommend best practices to optimize data models and platform architecture. You will work with various data visualization tools and collaborate with clients to enhance their data strategies.
About You
Required:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in data analytics and data visualization platforms in an enterprise environment.
- 3+ years of external consulting experience.
- Expertise in data visualization and data modeling with Power BI.
- Power BI Service administration experience including security roles and infrastructure setup.
- Expertise in DAX and Power Query.
- Demonstrated expertise in data fluency and communication with business users.
- Knowledge of SQL experience leveraging data warehouse, data marts, and/or data models (Snowflake environment preferred).
- Exceptional customer-facing skills, including outstanding communication and project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for learning new technologies.
Preferred:
- Previous experience scaling Power BI at an enterprise level.
- Previous experience leading teams of consultants to ensure performance and project delivery.
- Data preparation experience using Alteryx or KNIME (or similar tools like Matillion, Dataiku, or Coalesce).
