About the Role
About You
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in good standing.
- 10+ years of legal experience within investment management, private funds, structured credit, mortgage finance, or related financial services.
- Strong knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, SEC regulatory frameworks, private fund structures, and structured finance.
- Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating complex legal agreements, advising executive leadership, managing outside counsel, and supporting governance matters.
- Prior in-house legal experience within an RIA, credit fund, mortgage platform, mortgage REIT, or similar environment.
- Strong business judgment, executive presence, negotiation skills, and the ability to balance legal risk with commercial practicality.
Benefits
- $200k–$300k/year base salary.
- $500k All-In compensation.
