FieldAI is seeking a General Counsel to join their team in Irvine, CA. The role involves establishing and shaping the legal team and strategy at the intersection of AI and robotics, addressing novel legal questions while enabling rapid commercial expansion.
About the Role
As the General Counsel, you will partner with the CEO and CFO to lead legal operations, negotiate enterprise contracts, navigate international regulatory requirements, ensure compliance with export controls, develop IP strategies, and manage corporate legal matters. You will also build and mentor a legal team, establish legal processes, and foster a business-oriented legal culture.
About You
Required:
- Proven experience as an in-house General Counsel, Deputy GC, or senior legal leader in a corporate environment.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from a top-tier law school.
- Strong knowledge of international legal, regulatory, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in venture capital financings and corporate governance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
Preferred:
- Experience from top-tier law firms.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in AI/robotics companies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and complex projects.
