ALS is seeking a General Labor- Sample Preparation Technician to join their team in Reno, NV. The role involves preparing client samples for analysis in the Sample Preparation Department.
About the Role
As a Sample Preparation Technician, you will be responsible for ringing, sieving, crushing, and splitting samples under supervision, loading and unloading drying ovens, maintaining production logs, and ensuring lab cleanliness. You will also handle special requests, inspect equipment, and comply with safety regulations.
About You
Required:
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment.
- Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs; assistance is mandatory for heavier lifts.
- Basic English communication skills (written and verbal).
Preferred:
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic alpha/numeric comprehension.
