About the Role
As a General Maintenance Technician (Mechanical), you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing HVAC and refrigeration systems. Your daily tasks will include performing routine inspections, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, assisting in installations, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will also be required to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents, perform preventative maintenance, and collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the commercial or industrial HVAC trade performing service and maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC systems, including their operational principles and basic components.
- Universal CFC Certification for refrigerant handling.
Preferred:
- Associate Degree, Technical Certification, or completion of an apprenticeship in HVAC/R systems or Mechanical Systems.
- Experience working in mission-critical facilities, large-scale commercial buildings, or industrial plants.
- Additional certifications such as NATE (North American Technician Excellence) or LEED credentials.
- Familiarity with energy-efficient HVAC practices or Building Automation Systems (BAS).
