Summary
Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician for the 2nd Shift to join their team in Groton, CT. The role involves maintaining the aesthetic and functional integrity of facilities in a pharmaceutical Research & Development environment.
About the Role
As a General Maintenance Technician, you will conduct proactive facility patrols to identify maintenance needs, perform aesthetic repairs, and handle general maintenance activities. You will ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment that supports innovative R&D operations.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in general building maintenance, preferably in a pharmaceutical, laboratory, or industrial environment.
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools for painting, patching, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset.
Preferred:
- Technical degree preferred.
- Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment such as hospitals, biomedical or pharmaceutical campuses.
- Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams.
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); EAMS experience is a plus.
