About the Role
The General Manager is responsible for achieving store sales goals and service objectives, managing and growing professional customer relationships, hiring and developing team members, ensuring inventory and operational standards, coaching staff to meet customer expectations, managing daily store operations including safety and opening/closing duties, leading change management, and fostering a diverse and respectful environment. Secondary duties include providing DIY services such as battery installation and assisting district or regional functions as needed.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
- 2-3 years managing a team of 10-20 in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Proven experience managing profitability with strong financial and business acumen.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; PowerPoint preferred.
- Ability to analyze business reports including profit and loss statements.
- Ability to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of automotive systems.
- ASE certification or ability to become ASE P2 certified or ASE ready equivalent.
- Spanish language skills.
- Experience with advanced parts lookup and sourcing.
- Experience with store operational processes, inventory systems, POS, and parts lookup systems.
