Summary
SOLV Energy is seeking a General Superintendent to oversee utility-scale solar construction projects in Northern Nevada. The role involves leading onsite construction activities, managing regional teams, and ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
About the Role
As a General Superintendent, you will manage direct reports and subcontractors, enforce safety procedures, oversee multiple projects, coordinate with estimating teams, and provide regular progress reports to executive leadership. You will also develop relationships with project stakeholders and ensure work quality through inspections and audits.
About You
Required:
- Minimum 8 years of field construction experience at a supervisory level as a Superintendent.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Working knowledge of all crafts and ability to read and understand specifications for all trades.
- Knowledge of job scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost control.
- Thorough knowledge of construction methods, practices, regulations, and safety standards, including OSHA laws.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Experience conducting constructability reviews.
- Experience coordinating with estimating teams to develop accurate project cost estimates.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency.
- Willingness to travel and work onsite.
