Summary
Jacobs is seeking a General Technician Intermediate to join their team in Syracuse, NY. The role involves performing Operation & Maintenance activities in support of the Groundwater Treatment Plant and related area sites.
About the Role
As a Field Environmental Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing equipment and system operations problems, performing necessary corrective actions, conducting regular site inspections, and communicating system deficiencies. You will also collect and document field data and may operate construction equipment and perform exterior building maintenance as required.
About You
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience in basic water treatment plant operations and maintenance.
- Solid mechanical skills with the ability to work independently on pumps, plumbing, and motors.
Preferred:
- Experience with PLC and SCADA systems.
- Previous HAZWOPER and/or Confined Space Entry training.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
