Summary
The Planet Group is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in Philadelphia, PA or Columbus, OH. The role involves leading and supporting the design and execution of geotechnical engineering projects.
About the Role
As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will perform geotechnical analyses, conduct field explorations, analyze subsurface conditions, and prepare technical reports. You will collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure project efficiency and quality, while also guiding field teams and reviewing designs from external consultants.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
- FE Certification is mandatory, PE License highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of industry codes and standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong time management and critical thinking abilities.
- Able to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software and common engineering applications.
Preferred:
- Experience on EPC projects (Engineering, Procurement, Construction).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
