About the Role
As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will collaborate with project teams on field observations, data evaluation, and office work. Your responsibilities will include conducting engineering analyses, performing field assignments, preparing construction documents, and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines. You will also contribute to geotechnical data reports and assist in the evaluation of field investigation data.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant post education experience.
- Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient self-leadership with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing and office automation tools.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety.
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- AutoCAD and GIS experience.
- Experience with collecting field data and samples.
- Engineer in Training Certification.
- Prior position related to the degree of study.
- Active participation in local professional practice organizations.
