About the Role
As a Global Account Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing and hunting new business opportunities within a global sales territory, targeting market segments such as IP Transit and data center colocation. Your daily tasks will include direct outreach to key decision makers, conducting onsite customer meetings, and utilizing consultative selling techniques to position Cogent's services effectively.
About You
Required:
- 3-8+ years of solid, B2B sales experience in a telecom arena with collocation and wholesale experience.
- Proven track record of success in a direct hunting, B2B sales role and quota achievement.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify, and generate new business through extensive prospecting.
- Working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office and a CRM.
- A college degree.
