EY is seeking a Government and Public Sector Indirect Rates Associate Director to join their team in Troy, NY. This leadership role involves guiding the team that prepares indirect rates and serving as a trusted advisor to both GPS and Firm leadership.
About the Role
As the Associate Director, you will lead the development of indirect rates, direct rates, and home office allocations for the Government and Public Sector business within EY. Your responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standard (CAS), preparing Forward Pricing Rate Proposals (FPRPs), tracking rates throughout the fiscal year, and leading the preparation of annual Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS). You will also work across teams to ensure compliance and accuracy in rate submissions and reporting.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred; CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant indirect rate experience in a government contracting environment.
- 3-5 years working in an autonomous role with responsibility for indirect rates in a government contractor.
- In-depth experience with indirect rates and related CAS and FAR criteria.
- Experience supporting rate related audits by the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA).
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
Preferred:
- Experience leading a government sector pricing or rates team.
- Experience in project financial metrics and the impact of indirect rates on project economics.
- Experience working in a Big 4 accounting firm or other highly matrixed environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
