EY is seeking a Senior in their GPS - Financial Accounting Advisory Services - State and Local team to join in Grand Rapids, MI. The role involves providing consulting and audit services to help State, Local, and Education clients achieve their mission outcomes.
About the Role
As a Senior in the GPS Financial Accounting Advisory Services team, you will be the primary contact for clients, focusing on data integrity and quality to enhance reliable reporting. You will engage with clients, provide authoritative advice, and develop your knowledge of current market trends while mentoring junior colleagues.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- At least 3 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience applying US Governmental GAAP, GASB standards, Financial and Single Audit.
- Pursuing a CPA certification.
- Experience with preparation and/or auditing of Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and Financial audit for State, Local Government, Educational Institutions and Not for Profit.
- Advanced data analytics knowledge and strong technical writing skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher.
Preferred:
- US CPA licensure in your work state.
- CGFM and/or CDFM.
