Protingent is seeking a Ground Software & Systems Manager to join their team in Berkeley, CA. The role involves overseeing the hardware and software that connects the Mission Operations Center to global ground station networks.

About the Role

As a Ground Software & Systems Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the Ground Station facility, performing advanced software programming, and developing custom code for mission operations. You will also design and evaluate software and hardware for complex functional areas, support program managers and engineers in meetings with NASA, and ensure compliance with technical requirements.

About You

Required:

Expert-level knowledge of full-stack software design, development, and integration in real-time mission operations.
Proven leadership in resolving software, hardware, and systems integration anomalies in real-time environments.
Experience in IT infrastructure management, including containers, virtualization, and failover strategies.
Demonstrated ability to supervise technical staff and manage project deliverables.
Advanced degree in a related area or equivalent experience.

Preferred:

Experience leading operations with continuous availability as a critical performance metric.
