About the Role
As a Summer Intern in Power System Modeling, you will join a multi-disciplinary team to develop models for power distribution systems. Your responsibilities will include understanding how various generation sources, electric vehicles, and energy storage can be integrated to ensure reliable power delivery. You will work with virtual simulation environments and hardware-in-the-loop platforms to create these models.
About You
Required:
- Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Preliminary coursework in power systems and knowledge of power system controls.
Preferred:
- Fluency with Python scripting, MATLAB, and MATLAB Simulink.
- Exposure to modern power systems concepts such as energy storage and renewable energy integration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication skills in technical environments.
