About the Role
As a Group Exercise Instructor, you will be responsible for planning and instructing fitness classes, promoting YMCA core values, monitoring participant safety, and responding to member inquiries. You will also prepare equipment, follow YMCA policies, and attend required meetings and trainings.
About You
Required:
- At least 20 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training upon hire.
- Required certifications: Primary Group Fitness Certifications (ACE, AFAA, NASM) and/or specialty certifications.
Preferred:
- Previous related work experience.
- Previous experience with diverse populations.
