About the Role
As a Guidance Counselor, you will support existing programs and develop new initiatives to enhance student growth. Your responsibilities will include coordinating guidance activities, providing individual and group interventions, consulting with the school and community, and upholding the standards of the counseling profession. You will also communicate with parents and staff, provide crisis intervention, and assist in the development of policies concerning guidance and counseling.
About You
Required:
- Master’s degree in School Counseling or National Certified Counselor credential issued by the Nation Board for Certified Counselors.
- Valid New Mexico counselor license.
- 3 years experience in public school teaching and/or related counseling experience.
Preferred:
- Experience in developing and implementing school guidance programs.
- Knowledge of current developments and innovations within the counseling profession.
