Summary
Pilot.com is seeking a Head of Design to lead their Product Design team in San Francisco, CA. The role involves shaping financial tools and delivering impactful product experiences through strategic leadership and hands-on design execution.
About the Role
As the Head of Design, you will define and evolve the design vision, collaborate with cross-functional teams, nurture and grow design talent, lead the end-to-end design process, develop the design system, optimize design operations, champion research-informed design, and uphold design excellence across all product touchpoints.
About You
Required:
- 8+ years of impactful experience in product/UX design or a related field, including at least 2+ years in a manager or player-coach role.
- Strong grounding in visual and interaction design, expert-level prototyping in Figma.
Preferred:
- Experience with accounting, finance, tax tools, or small business SaaS.
- Ability to simplify complex design challenges with strategic and systems thinking.
