ZAM is seeking a Head of Engineering to join their team in Seattle, WA. The role involves leading the engineering function, driving technical strategy, and ensuring operational excellence across the organization.
About the Role
As the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of the engineering function. This includes leading and mentoring the engineering leadership team, overseeing application development and infrastructure, and ensuring timely delivery of product initiatives. You will also drive a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement while maintaining strong cross-functional partnerships.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7-10+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience with a proven track record of managing and scaling software development and operations teams.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in building and operating high-traffic, consumer-facing web applications.
- Demonstrated experience in defining and executing a holistic technical strategy.
- Proven ability to lead teams in an agile environment.
Preferred:
- Deep understanding of modern software architecture and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity working with teams in different time zones.
- World of Warcraft & Diablo/ARPG gamer with extensive knowledge of the games and communities.
