Summary
Stackpoint is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead their engineering function in Boston, MA. The role involves owning the technical direction of Stackpoint's Studio engineering function and building a high-caliber engineering team.
About the Role
As the Head of Engineering, you will lead major architectural and feasibility decisions, keep Stackpoint on the cutting edge of AI-native development, build internal tools and frameworks, and oversee the hiring and technical evaluation of engineering leaders for portfolio companies. You will work closely with PMs, designers, and CEOs to ensure successful project execution across multiple companies.
About You
Required:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time in leadership roles (Staff+, Engineering Manager, VP Eng, CTO, or equivalent).
- Experience leading and scaling small, high-performing engineering teams (3-10 people).
- Track record of making high-quality architectural decisions across diverse domains and tech stacks.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML integration in production systems.
Preferred:
- Multiple 0-to-1 builds in startup or early-stage environments.
- Full-stack proficiency across frontend (React, Vue, etc.) and backend (Python, Node.js, Go, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools (Docker, GitHub Actions, etc.).
