About the Role
As the Head of Product Design, you will define what gets built and how it feels, writing product specs, designing interactions, running experiments, and building user research from scratch. You will own the end-to-end consumer experience, establish interaction design quality, co-own the design system evolution, drive product optimization, and build a systematic user research practice.
About You
Required:
- 8+ years in design leadership where you owned product direction, not just visual execution.
- Shipped consumer products at scale where you defined both strategy and interaction design.
- Managed a portfolio of product surfaces at different lifecycle stages simultaneously.
- Working fluency with LLMs, RAG, or AI-native product development.
- Comfortable prototyping with AI tools, component libraries, or code.
Preferred:
- Former founder or design leader at a company under 50 where you were the product+design function.
- Portfolio demonstrating both strategic product thinking and craft excellence.
- E-commerce, fintech, or consumer product background.
- Has built for both human users and API/agent consumers.
- Can point to a product you killed based on evidence, not just products you designed.
- Has defined or evolved a design system that other designers and AI tools build within.
