The role involves developing Translational Safety capabilities and innovative strategies for drug discovery and clinical development programs.
About the Role
As the Head of Translational Safety, you will be responsible for designing and delivering translational safety strategies, supporting signal and risk evaluation, and leading the identification of safety biomarkers. You will collaborate with various teams, facilitate data flow between non-clinical and clinical functions, and represent Global Medical Safety in cross-functional projects. The role also includes building and leading a team of physicians and/or scientists focused on translational safety activities.
About You
Required:
- MD or PhD required; MD/PhD preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in drug development in a pharmaceutical industry or academic setting.
- Expertise and experience in translational medicine/safety.
- Track record of success in leading innovative initiatives and developing strategy.
- Familiarity or expertise in technology and artificial intelligence.
- Excellent English verbal and communication skills.
Preferred:
- People leadership experience.
- Ability to collaborate with other functions and work as a team.
- Ability to interact effectively across boundaries using influencing and relationship building skills.
- Competence in analysis and problem-solving.
