S&C Electric Company is seeking a Health & Safety Intern to join their team in Chicago, IL. The role involves supporting the Health, Safety, and Environmental Department with various sustainability projects and OSHA compliance.
About the Role
As a Health & Safety Intern, you will report to the Assistant Manager of Global Health, Safety and Environmental Services. Your responsibilities will include collecting and analyzing environmental data, generating reports, monitoring industrial hygiene activities, researching pollution prevention initiatives, and participating in team problem-solving activities. You will also be involved in ergonomic training and assessments, and interact with various team members across the organization.
About You
Required:
- Must be a student in good standing at an accredited institute pursuing a BS in Environmental Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to think analytically and independently to provide fresh ideas for process improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and PC skills.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of industrial hygiene, policy, and occupational safety.
