Summary
Jacobs is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to join their New York City Water Market Construction Management Team. The role involves developing, implementing, and administering health and safety programs while overseeing site safety conditions.
About the Role
As a Health & Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting safety investigations, and improving project safety metrics. You will work closely with site management and clients to identify and resolve safety discrepancies, and perform regular site walks to ensure regulatory compliance.
About You
Required:
- BS degree plus an additional 7 years of full-time experience in a Health & Safety position, or a minimum of 10 years full-time professional experience in a Health & Safety position in lieu of the degree.
- 7-10 years of professional safety experience in the Construction Standard.
- Possess a CSP, CHST or NYC LSSM’s License.
- OSHA 500 designation in 29 CFR 1926 of the Construction Standard.
- Proven experience in regulatory compliance.
Preferred:
- Ability to manage and conduct safety investigations and develop root-cause analysis.
- Proficient in the use of eBuilder, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Previous NYC DEP experience.
