Early Learning Essentials is seeking a Health Specialist-Medical Assistant for Preschool Children to join their team in Orem, UT. The role involves providing comprehensive health and nutrition services to preschool children and supporting their families.
About the Role
As a Health Specialist, you will assist the Health & Nutrition Services Director and service area Coordinators in delivering health care and screening services for children enrolled in the Head Start Program. You will monitor health and nutrition services, maintain relationships with health care professionals, and provide education to families and staff. This position requires face-to-face interaction with families and children, and it is not eligible for telecommuting.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Health Education, Health Promotion, or related field.
- One year relevant experience in Health Education or Health Services related field providing health services for low-income clientele.
- Bilingual Spanish speaking is required.
Preferred:
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
