About the Role
As a Health Unit Coordinator (Float), you will be responsible for clerical tasks such as order entry and telephone management, assisting the HIM department, providing staff breaks, and filling in as a Patient Care Technician when needed. You will also be involved in communication regarding patient admissions and discharges, updating census information, and adhering to policies and procedures.
About You
Required:
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Intermediate-level computer skills, with experience in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- BLS certification required upon hire.
- De-escalation training required within 30 days of hire.
Preferred:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two years’ experience as a Unit Clerk/Patient Care Technician in a behavioral health setting.
