About the Role
As a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC), you will greet visitors, answer phone calls, perform clerical duties such as admitting and discharging patients in the Epic system, manage patient paperwork, and support clinical staff with administrative tasks. You will work in a dynamic environment, handling multiple tasks efficiently and directing inquiries to nursing staff.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong technical/computer skills, typing proficiency, and excellent phone etiquette.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively as part of a team.
- Capacity to collaborate with diverse professionals and individuals.
Preferred:
- Medical terminology or healthcare experience.
Benefits
- PRN 3 - Premium Pay Health Unit Coordinator is a non-benefitted position for up to a maximum of 1 year.
- Work every 3rd weekend - Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
- 12-hour shifts, Day/Night rotation either 6:30am - 6:30pm or 6:30pm - 6:30am.
- $31.00 per hour, orientation and education are paid at an alternate rate of pay based on years of experience.
- Training timeline of 6-8 weeks with full-time hours is required.
