About the Role
As a Healthcare Contracts Manager, you will collaborate with executive leadership, finance, and clinical teams to develop contracting strategies that drive organizational growth and optimize reimbursement for high-cost therapies. Your responsibilities will include managing payer contracts, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, conducting market analysis, and supporting revenue cycle teams in interpreting contract terms.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–5+ years of experience in negotiating complex agreements with payers, PBMs, and healthcare vendors.
- Strong understanding of Washington State healthcare regulations and reimbursement models.
- Thorough knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other governmental insurance regulations.
Preferred:
- Experience in proactive payer outreach, network expansion, or business development in specialty/rare disease healthcare.
- Understanding of 340B program requirements and pharmacy contracting.
- Experience with Hemophilia Treatment Centers (HTC) or high-cost specialty pharmacy contracting.

WACBD - Washington Center for Bleeding Disorders
The Washington Center for Bleeding Disorders (WACBD) is a federally funded Hemophilia Treatment Center that was established in 1974 to provide medical care and education to all patients with inherited bleeding disorders in the State of Washington. On 11/28/20 the operation of the WACBD moved from Bloodworks to the Washington Institute for Coagulation (WIC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the primary purpose to provide education and care for people with inherited bleeding disorders throughout the State of Washington. Funding for the Center is established through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and our approved 340B pharmacy.
