About the Role
As a Product Development Engineer Co-Op, you will work with a cross-functional team to design Abiomed’s next generation of innovative heart pumps and accessories. Your responsibilities will include assisting in designing components, performing engineering feasibility testing, executing design verification testing, conducting root-cause analyses, analyzing data, and collaborating with various stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
About You
Required:
- Undergraduate or graduate students pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, computer science, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong skills in design, testing, and data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS.
- Experience with machining and/or 3D printing.
- Prior co-op experience in the medical device industry.
