About the Role
As a High School ELA Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a robust literature curriculum that emphasizes diversity and prepares students for Advanced Placement (AP) and collegiate level coursework. You will guide students in analyzing significant literary works, develop their reading and writing skills, facilitate student-led discussions, and adapt lessons based on student comprehension. Additionally, you will engage in data analysis to improve instructional strategies and build positive relationships with students and their families.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools and communities (1-2 years experience preferred).
- Academic expertise in Humanities, English, Social Sciences, or related fields.
Preferred:
- Experience in teaching English Language Arts at the high school level.
- Ability to implement feedback to improve teaching outcomes.
