About the Role
As a Historic Preservation Specialist 3, you will manage the Review and Compliance Program, supervise staff, negotiate agreements with federal agencies, prepare documents for audits, and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with preservation laws. You will also assist in developing the state's historic preservation plan and manage the administration of Native American burial protection legislation.
About You
Required:
- Master's degree in history, architectural history, historic preservation, art history, archaeology, anthropology, cultural geography or related field and two years of professional experience in historic preservation work.
- Professional qualifications must meet National Park Service standards for an Archaeologist as described in 36 CFR 61.
Preferred:
- Experience in negotiation and preparation of Agreement documents for federal agency compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
- Experience with historic preservation plans, including creation and implementation.
