Labcorp is seeking a Histotechnician to join their team at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants.
About the Role
As a Histotechnician, you will be responsible for processing human tissue and body fluid specimens, performing technical duties related to histopathological slides, conducting immunohistochemical tests, and ensuring quality patient care through accurate reporting of test results. You will also operate and maintain laboratory instruments, adhere to quality control policies, and document maintenance and quality control procedures.
About You
Required:
- Associate's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
- 2 or more years of Histotechnician experience.
Preferred:
- Hospital based histology experience.
- Histology and/or ASCP certifications.
- Familiarity with routine histology procedures and equipment.
- Immunohistochemistry experience.
- Experience working in a high volume laboratory environment.
