About the Role
About You
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working in a hospital-based Anatomic Pathology laboratory.
- Experience with embedding various types of fresh and fixed tissues.
- Experience cutting paraffin embedded and fresh tissue blocks using a microtome.
- Experience performing routine H&E and a variety of special histochemical stains.
- Ability to work with hazardous materials and chemicals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) HT Certification.
- American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) HTL Certification.
- Bachelor's of Science Degree.
- Eligible to perform high-complexity testing.
- Knowledge of hospital and laboratory regulations and requirements.
- Experience performing general histology laboratory maintenance.
