About You
- At least 5 years of experience as a breaking news/homepage editor in a fast-paced online newsroom.
- Track record of managing or programming a homepage with balanced coverage across verticals.
- Strong editorial judgment and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with WordPress and navigating a CMS under deadline pressure.
- Proven ability to write sharp, web-friendly headlines optimized for readers and search engines.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices.
- Experience using analytics tools to monitor performance and adjust story framing.
- Ability to leverage visuals, multimedia, and social media to enhance stories.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative startup newsroom environment.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends as news demands.
