About You
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a training program approved by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
- Certification as a Hospice Aide/Homemaker.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- One year of direct patient care experience in an institutional or home care setting.
- Community health/hospice experience.
- Understanding of Hospice philosophy and needs of terminally ill patients.

Journey Hospice provides hospice care, as well as palliative care, to individuals and their loved ones during an advanced illness or when such illness requires dedicated symptom management. These services are provided in either the patient's home, a hospital or a nursing care facility. Throughout South Jersey and stretching into North Jersey, Journey Hospice’s team of skilled professionals dedicate the time it takes to help patients and families feel secure with their proposed treatment plan and care options. Hospice care is paid for through Medicare, Medicaid, most private insurance plans, The Department of Veteran Affairs, HMOS, and other managed care organizations.
